About Our Church

Our congregation was formed in Aberdeen in 1907, and our roots here run deep. Of course, we hope to learn from the past, but our ongoing hope is to continue to cultivate life in the desert and to be renewed daily.

First Mennonite Church is a member of the Pacific Northwest Mennonite Conference, a part of Mennonite Church USA.

We are incredibly blessed that since 1957 we have had a beautiful camp (lower left side of the picture) near the Wyoming border within the Targhee National Forest. It goes by the name Camp Palisades.

We are pleased to announce that Brian Leisher has transitioned from the position of Interim Pastor at First Mennonite Church to our permanent pastor! 

Pastor Brian and his wife both teach in the American Falls school system, where their two children enjoy learning in the Dual Immersion program.
